U.S Fish and Wildlife School Yard Habitat Project

Habitats- Children are beginning to observe and document the animals in their outdoor classroom.
Here are a few of the things they are looking at:

- Location- paying close attention to the surrounding environment and making predictions regarding food the animal may eat as well as where it may live.
- Quantity- Children will begin to understand tally marks and record the number of each animal they see.
- Time of day - document in order to understand the time of day particular animals are most active.
